Principals Message
Dear Orchard Parents, An eventful and exciting school year is quickly coming to a close. There have been many great things about this past year. We’ve celebrated Orchard’s 25th birthday by looking at the past to see how far we’ve come, and are planning for the future. Our emphasis on science this year has done much to increase student interest in the world around them. The opportunity to interact with your children at school makes me optimistic for the future. Orchard kids are fantastic! They have a desire to learn and become the best they can be. We are assisted at Orchard by so many wonderful parents, the PTA, and others who understand the value of education. Thank you for your time and efforts to instill the values of learning, and for your help at school. We couldn’t do it without you! The staff at Orchard is hard working and dedicated. We are saddened to be losing two superb educators to retirement. Blanca Cruz and Jean Nelson will soon be calling every day a Saturday. Combined, these two have over 70 years of educational experience between them. We will miss them and wish them the best in retirement. Orchard just won’t be the same without them. As we finish the school year, students will be taking the Utah State Core tests during the next couple of weeks. Included in this newsletter is a Report to Parents on Test Preparation. A good night’s sleep, proper nutrition, and your knowledge that they are testing at this time, can go a long way in helping to prepare your child to do their best. Thanks again for all you do to make our school a great place to learn.Sincerely, Barry Bezzant, Principal Orchard Elementary

Our PTA produces great newsletters. The Principal's message and the PTA President's message are here. To get the complete newsletter, with all the great extras not included on this page, download the entire document. It's available here as a PDF document. Take time to read the whole thing. It's well worth it. September 2007 |
